District 246 - Reminder Regarding Student Safety
The district would like to remind students and families about an important safety practice at school. Students should never accept medication, vitamins, gummies, or unwrapped candy from other students, even if it is offered as a joke or appears harmless.
Only medications that have been approved by parents and administered through the school office according to district policy should be taken during the school day.
We encourage families to have a conversation with their students about this expectation. Accepting unknown substances can be unsafe and may have unintended health consequences.
Student safety is always our priority. We appreciate the cooperation of students and families in helping maintain a safe and respectful school environment.
