We will be honoring our Pep Band Seniors; David Davis, Dominic Forsman, Ella Hale, Christopher Massey, Cassidy Thibert and Sierra Tillery, along with our HS girls basketball Seniors; Selway Shown and Loreal Lamere before the start of the HS girls basketball game tonight at home vs Deary. Game time for the girls' game is 6 pm. Senior Recognition will start at about 5:50 pm.
We will also be honoring our HS boys basketball Seniors tonight at home vs Deary. The boys game will start at 7:30 pm (or a little before). I would be here by 7:15 pm. We will be honoring our Seniors before the start of the boys game. Our Seniors on the HS boys basketball team are Nolan Giovannetti, Myatt Osborn, Joseph Raff and Landon Schlieper.
Both HS girls and boys basketball games tonight (1/29) vs Deary are Varsity only contests and will be broadcasted on the NFHS Network.
Tomorrow's (1/30) HS Boys Basketball games at Prairie have been moved to the following times. The HS Girls Basketball First Round District Tournament game has been moved up one day to 1/30, instead of 1/31 because our girls play Prairie in the first round. The schedule will go as follows:
1/30 @ Prairie HS
4:30 pm - HS JV Boys vs Prairie JV Boys
6 pm - HS Varsity Boys vs Prairie Varsity Boys
7:30 pm - First Round HS Girls Basketball Districts - #2 Seed Prairie vs #7 Seed CV
The HS boys basketball team travels tonight to Lapwai to take on the Lapwai Wildcats. The game time was originally 6 pm, but has been moved to 6:30 pm. The reason for this is because there will only be a 1/2 JV game tonight. The game will be broadcasted on the NFHS Network. Good Luck!
The JH wrestling team is in action for the first time this year! They will be competing tonight at 5 pm at CVHS against Culdesac, Orofino and Sacajawea. This is the JH wrestling team's only home event of the year, so if you can, make sure to make it down and cheer our wrestler's on! The matches will be broadcasted on the NFHS Network. The school board is doing a budget workshop tonight at 5 pm at the District Office in Grangeville at 5 pm. This is open to the public and they will be going through sections of the line items to start showing what can be cut. The budget line items that will be addressed tonight are:
-Maintenance of Buildings and Grounds
-Utilities
-Custodial Supplies, not custodial staff
-Property and Liability Insurance
-All Transportation Expenses

The HS boys basketball team is back in action at home as they welcome the Kamiah Kubs to town tonight with the JV game starting at 6 pm, and the varsity to follow. The first match, won by the Kubs, was a close game with the Kubs coming out on top 57- 48. This is a big league game, so let's pack the gym and cheer the boys onto victory! The game will be broadcasted on the NFHS Network.

The HS Wrestling team is back in action this Friday (1/19) and Saturday (1/20) as they will be traveling to Lewiston to compete in the Clearwater Classic at Lewiston HS. Good morning! I hope that everyone is staying safe and warm! The HS boys and girls basketball games scheduled tomorrow (1/13) at Genesee HS have been cancelled. The 7th Jaybird Memorial Girls HS Tournament at Columbia HS in Nampa today (1/12) and tomorrow (1/13) has also been cancelled. At this time there is no make-up date for the HS boys and girls basketball games vs Genesee, but will get that out as soon as there is a make-up date scheduled. The HS Wrestling team will be back in action this next Friday (1/19) and Saturday (1/20) in Lewiston at the Clearwater Classic at Lewiston HS.

On Saturday, January 6th vs Logos, Landon Schlieper scored 30 points to bring his career total to 1,024 pints scored! Nice job Landon on this milestone for your career! Keep putting in the work! The outcome on the scoreboard is not what the team wanted as the Knights beat the Rams 66-38. The team competed hard, and were without one of their top scorers, Hyson Scott, due to an injury. The boys basketball team will be back in action tomorrow (1/9) as they will take on St. John Bosco at CVHS in a varsity only contest starting at 6 pm. Go Rams!!!
There has been a HS Wrestling dual added this Wednesday, January 10th at Lapwai HS at 6 pm.
Congratulations to the CV/K HS Wrestling team on their 1st Place finish at the Cosgrove-Eschler Tournament held at Joseph HS in Oregon this past Friday and Saturday! We were the only Idaho team to compete in the tournament, and took home the 1st Place trophy! Nice work!

Safe & Sober will be doing a pop shoot for both halftimes at tonight's home HS basketball games. The girls play Highland at 6 pm and the boys play Highland at 7:30 pm. The cost is $1 per shot.
