There is a power and internet outage in the Kooskia area which has taken the Clearwater Valley schools offline. The main school phones will not be available until internet is restored. Cell phones will still work normally, and school will continue as it did for hundreds of years before the Internet šŸ˜ Have a great day!

With the 60-27 loss last night in the district tournament vs Troy at Lewiston HS, the CV boys basketball team season has come to an end. The team had a much improved season from years past, going 3-11 in League play, and 9-11 overall. CV won all of their 6 non league games. They also accomplished something that has not been done in 5 years, and that is win a district tournament game, which they did with a 63-54 win over Prairie. Congratulations to coaches Alana Curtis, Trayse Mangun and the team for working hard all season! Definitely something to build on for next year! Go Rams!!! Here are the results for our JH wrestlers from last night's dual at Lincoln Middle School in Clarkston. Nice work to all of our JH wrestlers and coaches! Luke Nelson 3-0 Waylon Nelson 3-0 Kale Walle 1-1 Ryker Wilkins 2-0 Jesse Rice 2-0 Kaden Carter 2-0 Tristan Davis 2-0 Once again, nice job on a great showing! Just a reminder that the Pops Concert is tonight in the CVHS Cafeteria at 6 pm. This is for all band and choir students in grades 7-12. If you can make it, come down and support these students as they always put on a great concert directed by Mrs. Elizabeth Nuxoll. I hope that everyone has a good day and Go Rams!!!

Ella Hale (Treble Choir) and Cassidy Thibert (Honor Band) have been selected to compete at the Idaho All State Honor Ensembles. Both Ella and Cassidy sent in recordings and were selected out of hundreds of recordings across the state to be in these honor groups. Both students will be rehearsing on Thursday and Friday. The Treble Choir concert is Friday, February 2nd at 6 pm and the Honor Band concert is Saturday, February 3rd at 1:30 pm. The concerts are held at Swayne Auditorium in the Brandt Center at Northwest Nazarene University (NNU). Mrs. Nuxoll, our HS Band & Choir teacher, will be at a professional development conference down there as well. This is an amazing event and we have had at least one CV student selected to this honor group over the last several years! Congratulations to Ella, Cassidy and Mrs. Nuxoll for these accomplishments! With the loss last night vs the Prairie Pirates in the first round of the 1AD1 HS girls district basketball tournament, the CV girls will play on Saturday, February 3rd at 3 pm at Lewiston HS against an opponent yet to be determined. CV will play the loser of tonight's matchup between Kamiah/Potlatch. I will have an updated bracket out tomorrow sometime after I get the results of all of tonight's games.
