Just a reminder that youth basketball camp gets underway today at the CVHS main gym. Our JH boys basketball coach Bryson Shira is putting the camp on. This is for boys and girls going into 3rd grade - going into 8th grade. Here is the schedule below. Monday, July 15th - Girls Tuesday, July 16th - Boys Wednesday, July 17th - Girls Thursday, July 18th - Boys Friday, July 19th - Girls Saturday, July 20th - Boys Times each day are from 10 am - 12 pm and if you have any questions you can contact coach Shira at shirab@sd244.org

Congratulations to Landon Schlieper and Carson Schilling for being named to the First Team for the 1A All Idaho Baseball Team! Landon was selected as an infielder. Landon had a batting average (.427), on-base percentage (.574), slugging percentage (.572) and RBI's (22). Carson was selected as an outfielder. Carson's range, sure hands and arm made him a defensive weapon out there roaming Center Field. Carson hit .257 and got on base at a .411 clip. Nice job to both and the whole team! Go Rams!!!

There will be an 8th Grade Graduation Ceremony on May 31st, 2024 in the CVHS main gym at 6 pm for all current 8th grade graduates. Please have your child at the school no later than 5:30 pm to line up for the ceremony and get pictures. There will be an 8th grade dance for students following the ceremony at the Clearwater Valley Middle School. Snacks and refreshments will be provided for the students. The dance will end at 10 pm and students must be picked up by a parent or guardian. Please contact Mellissa Wilson (208 451 4093) or Melissa Carter (208 935 5134) with any questions or concerns.

The Native American Middle School Basketball Game that was scheduled for tomorrow (5/22) has been postponed. A new update will be sent out as soon as it is finalized, and I will get that all out to everyone.

I wanted to get all of our HS/JH Rodeo students recognized that have been competing! I have attached some photos as well! Taya Pfefferkorn took 5th in breakaway, and they only take the top 6 in that category and she is headed to the state rodeo! Nice work Taya! Sawyer Fisher is also headed to the state rodeo! Sawyer took 1st place in the Calf Roping, 1st place in the Team Roping (Header), and he also won the average buckle for Team Roping (Header) at the District Finals and received the year end Sportsmanship Award! He is also the District All Around Reserve Cowboy! He would like to thank everyone that has helped him along the way, and to all of his sponsors! State Rodeo will be held June 8th - June 15th in Pocatello, ID at the Bannock County Event Center.

Congratulations to the CVHS track and tennis teams! Even though we did not have anyone place this year at state in track or tennis, I wanted to give a shoutout to all of the coaches, players, and to everyone that made both seasons successful! Congratulations to the CVHS baseball team for bringing home the 3rd place trophy this year in the 1A State Baseball Tournament! It was exciting to be down there in Boise at Capital HS to witness it first hand, as I am the tournament director for the 1A state baseball tournament. After a 2nd place finish last year, the Rams baseball team had to fight hard for their 3rd place finish, as they had to go to extra innings to get the win vs Troy in the 3rd/4th place game! Nice job to all of the coaches, players, and to everyone that made this a successful year! Go Rams!!!

Congratulations to our CVHS softball team that took home the 3rd place trophy this last week at the 1A State Softball Tournament in Genesee! This is the second year in a row that the CVHS softball team has taken home a trophy, as the Lady Rams brought home the 4th place trophy last year! Nice job to all of the coaches, players, and to everyone that made this year a successful year! Go Rams!!!

Congratulations to Tiago Pickering for being named this week's Ram of the Week! Tiago is a Junior on the CVHS baseball team that just finished with a 3rd place showing this last week at the 1A State Baseball Tournament this last week at Capital HS! Nice work Tiago! Go Rams!!!

I will know this Sunday morning whether or not our CV softball team received an at large bid into the state softball tournament and I will get that out as soon as I know.

Districts/Regionals get under way today! Tennis Districts are today and tomorrow at 9 am at Lake City and CDA HS. In lieu of "Stop Match Play" at CDA & Lake City HS, from 3 pm - 6 pm matches will be held at Cherry Hill Courts in CDA. This will only happen for today. This game was originally scheduled at Nezperce, but was moved to CV because their field is not playable at all right now. HS Track: The CVHS track team travels to Lewiston today to compete in the Idaho District II Meet of Champions at 1 pm at Vollmer Bowl.
