This will be a Varsity only contest and will be broadcasted on the NFHS Network. If you can make it down, please try to do so and pack the gym as the boys go after a victory against the Kubs! If you plan on traveling this Saturday to Genesee to watch the HS boys and girls basketball games, here are some things that Genesee will be offering. The games will also be on the NFHS Network.
Class of 2023 Parents are sponsoring the following events this month to raise money for Safe and Sober graduation activities.
*Buy a square on the money board for a chance to win a $500 cash prize. Squares are $20 each. Drawing will be at the basketball game on January 14.
*Pulled pork sandwich meals will be for sale at the quad game vs. CV on January 14. $10 for a sandwich, chips, water, and homemade cookie.
Driver Education sign ups are ready and in the High School office.
There will be a mandatory parent night Wednesday, February 22nd at 6:00 PM. First class begins March 3rd and classes will be held in Mr. Francis's room (#16) at the Junior High. All classes will be on Friday mornings. The class is limited to 24 students.
The HS boys basketball game at Prairie tonight at 6 pm will be a Varsity only contest. The game will be broadcasted on the Prairie Pirate Facebook Page. Good luck! Go Rams!

There will be an informational meeting for Juniors and their Parents/Guardians of Juniors on Senior Projects. This meeting will take place in the HS Library Wednesday, January 11th at 5 pm.
I just got word from Clarkston this morning and they have to cancel coming up tomorrow night for the dual. With this happening, tomorrow night's dual will be cancelled all together and we will recognize our CV/Kamiah Wrestling Seniors on January 28th now before wrestling starts on the second day of our North/South Duals Tournament here at CVHS.

There was a good crowd that cheered on the team and our one Senior Shada Edwards onto victory! I also wanted to congratulate the HS wrestling team for their 2nd place finish at the Cosgrove-Eschler Tournament at Joseph HS in Joseph, Oregon. Nice job to the coaches and the team!

We are going to have Senior Night for the HS Girls Basketball team tomorrow night January 6th vs Logos at 6 pm. We will be honoring our lone Senior Shada Edwards. Shada has had an amazing career here at CVHS on the basketball court. Here talents and leadership will be missed. I hope to see you all here tomorrow night to recognize her and to cheer the team on to victory. Go Rams!

The HS Girls Basketball game tonight vs Lapwai at 6 pm will be broadcasted on the NFHS Network. We will unfortunately have no concessions tonight. Tina and Greg are unable to be here tonight. It will just be for tonight only.
The HS Wrestling team will not be going to Mt. View HS in Boise this Friday and Saturday to wrestle in the Mt. View JV Tournament, but instead will be going to the Joseph High School Tournament this Friday and Saturday at Joseph, Oregon. I will get start times out on this and if it will be broadcasted or not.

I wanted to congratulate our BPA students from CV on their accomplishments!
Jerrod Murray received 8th place in computer programming concepts and 12th in fundamental accounting.
Autum Martinez received 8th place in parliamentary procedures and in medical terminology concepts; 3rd place in interview skills, prepared speech and project management concepts; 2nd place in meeting and event planning (state qualifier for 2nd and 3rd place events).
Rayne Martinez qualified for state in every category she competed in with the following placements: 3rd in extemporaneous speech; 2nd in parliamentary procedures and project management concepts; and 1st place in medical terminology concepts, meeting and event planning and health administration procedures.
Students from CVHS, Prairie HS, Grangeville HS and Salmon River HS all competed at the BPA Regionals held in Moscow. The State Competition will be held February 23-25. Autum and Rayne Martinez will both be making the trip to state for their projects. Vincent Martinez is the advisor at CVHS. Good luck to all!

The HS Boys and Girls Basketball games vs Sitka, Alaska for Friday December 30th have been cancelled. I was told they are stuck in an airport somewhere and unable to get here. There will be no make up dates for these games.

For HS Wrestling, the CIL Duals at St. Maries HS that were cancelled have been rescheduled for Thursday December 29th at 3 pm at St. Maries HS. The wrestling team will be in action for two days at St. Maries HS as they will wrestle in the St. Maries Tournament the following day on December 30th beginning at 9 am. The HS boys basketball game at Timberline that was cancelled for a second time due to weather has been rescheduled again for January 26th. This game will be played at CVHS now and the game time will be 6 pm. This will be a varsity only contest now because Timberline no longer has a boys JV team. Good luck to the whole team!

The CIL Duals scheduled tomorrow 12/21 at St. Maries HS have been cancelled due to weather.
The HS boys basketball game that was scheduled tonight at Timberline at 6 pm has been cancelled due to snow. Timberline schools are closed today for a snow day. There has been no makeup date scheduled at this time.
