The North Idaho Hall of Fame Banquet was held this last Saturday, April 6th. Here at CV, we had two nominees up for awards. We had Jessica Ketola as a finalist for the District I/II 1A/2A/3A Softball Player of the Year and we had Bass Myers as a finalist for two awards, the District I/II 2A/3A Male Wrestler of the Year and the 1A/2A/3A Male Athlete of the Year. Congratulations to Bass Myers for winning the award as North Idaho's 2023-2024 High School Boys Wrestling Athlete of the Year! This is such a huge accomplishment, and I am so proud (along with everyone else) of him!

The HS baseball games scheduled today at 11 am at home vs Grangeville have been cancelled. The games have been rescheduled for Tuesday, April 9th at home at 4:30 pm. There was going to be an Indian Taco fundraiser for Alan Reuben's medical expenses today at the baseball games, but since the games have been cancelled, the fundraiser has been moved to the Southfork Smoke Shop in Kooskia. Good morning! I hope that everyone had a good Spring Break! The HS Tennis match that was scheduled on 4/3 vs Orofino and Culdesac at home at 4 pm has been moved up to tomorrow (4/2). It will be at CVHS with the same start time of 4 pm. Good luck! Go Rams!!! The HS baseball game at Potlatch on 4/4 at 4 pm could be moved to Lewiston. Which field it will be at is still TBD. It is calling for snow in Potlatch on Thursday as of now. I will get out the information once things are finalized. Also, the HS baseball game at home vs Grangeville on 4/6 that was scheduled at 12 pm, has been moved up an hour. The games will start at 11 am now. Good luck! Go Rams!!!

HS softball is back in action today as they take on the Orofino Maniacs in a non-league doubleheader. The first game starts at 3 pm and the second game is at 5 pm. Congratulations to Bass Myers and Jessica Ketola for being named finalists for the North Idaho Hall of Fame Banquet! Bass is a finalist for the District I & II 2A/3A Male Wrestler of the Year and the 1A/2A/3A Male Athlete of the Year! Bass was also the 2024 2A State Champion at 195 lbs! Jessica is a finalist for the District I/II 1A/2A/3A Softball Player of the Year! Jessica was the starting pitcher on last year's 4th Place finish at the state tournament and CV's first ever state trophy for softball! The banquet will be held on Saturday, April 6th at the Coeur d' Alene Resort at 5:30 pm. I will have some more information on this as well to get out. Congratulations to Landon Schlieper and Selway Shown being named to play in the HS boys and girls Senior Showcase basketball game held this Friday, March 8th at Lewiston HS. The girls game is at 6 pm and the boys game is at 8 pm. They are going to do something a little different this year for the game. They are going to have the players wear their school jerseys one last time! This should be a lot of fun for the players to represent their school for the last time in their school uniform

With the conclusion of the Bi-State Tournament this last Saturday, the JH wrestling season has come to an end. Once again, the team did a great job at the Bi-State Tournament! There is a power and internet outage in the Kooskia area which has taken the Clearwater Valley schools offline. The main school phones will not be available until internet is restored.
