Whoop it up Wednesday: The 3rd grade classes all learned about the importance and process of voting. Each class held mock voting sessions that included completing voter registration cards, holding primary elections, going in a voting booth to cast their secret ballot, and graphing the voting results. Mrs. Pfefferkorn's, Mrs. Rambo's and Mrs. Wellard's students can't wait to vote for the president in the 2036 election!

We are preparing for our Veteran's Day Assembly which will be taking place at GEMS on November 11th at 9:00. Today, Student Council President, Alex Rogers, is practicing his introduction of Senior Master Sergeant in the Air Force, Mark Hurd. The students who will be speaking at the assembly are getting coaching from Jean Melching and Kathy Warford. These ladies will also be presenting Quilts of Valor to our local veterans. We hope you can join us for the celebration .

We have witnesses...it was not rigged. Mrs. Wellard's husband's name was drawn for one of the loads of firewood. Pictured here is the crew that went out and fetched the wood that was donated and processed by Idaho Forest Group of Grangeville. Stay warm, Wellard family!

Mrs. Wasem's class performed a Reader's Theater, "I Need My Monster." The students presented three performances. Parents and grandparents were invited to attend as well as other classrooms. The students did a wonderful job presenting.

We met our attendance goal for the month of October! The average attendance for the month was 95%. That is absolutely amazing! I'm so proud of you, Bulldogs!

Mrs. Barker's fourth grade class went to US Bank for a field trip. They participated in Financial Footings education for elementary students. Students were able to count up to a dollar with their coins and exchange for a Sacajawea dollar since they are studying Sacajawea in Idaho history.

Dr. Nancy Johnston from Lewis and Clark College met with our eighth grade students today. She discussed some background information on climate (radiation, greenhouse gases and greenhouse effect) and provided short experiments with temperature and heating of gases, interpreting local data, and calculating carbon footprints.
