GHS students compete at UI math competition

I'm really proud of this group of kids that chose to compete in the first-annual High School Math Competition at University of Idaho. Tabitha Stoner (sophomore), Tobias Stoner (junior), Aliyah Poxleitner (senior) and Makenna Denuit (freshman) competed as a team in the senior division and did quite well, considering they were up against primarily much larger schools. They had two hours to complete ten problems. Awards, cash and scholarships were given to the top three teams. The winning teams were Coeur d'Alene High School (1st and 2nd) and Moscow High School (3rd). Grangeville High School placed tenth.
